All commercial diving is done under supervision/instructing. This requires training and field diving experience. The supervisor/instructor training program is designed to give personnel a better understanding of the role of a supervisor/instructor managing the site and maintaining a safe work environment for all personnel. It also improves understanding of planning and executing the dive job.
The Surface-Supplied 30m Air Diving Supervisor/Instructor has a depth limit of 30 meters (99 FSW).
All diving jobs are different; each requires a unique approach. This training teaches how to compile information, assess the team's ability, approach the job with safety as a primary concern, and ensure diving standards are followed, among many other facets of diving operations.
Leadership is a key component when supervising. One leadership style is not always appropriate for every job. Having multiple styles is like having multiple skills; you can choose the best one for the job. Our training identifies these roles and teaches supervisors/instructors the effective qualities of each.
To qualify to attend this program, the prerequisites are:
100 logged dives and 3 years of logged experience as a Surface-Supplied 30m Air Diver

Health, safety and diving environment hazards
Site emergencies and accident investigation
Dive accident prevention and management planning
